First Quarter

The opening quarter saw the Atlanta Hawks take an early lead with a strong offensive display, scoring 35 points compared to the Wizards' 28. The Dirty Birds capitalized on their fast break opportunities and maintained an impressive field goal percentage of 53 percent throughout the game.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, both teams matched each other's intensity as they added another 35 points for Atlanta and 27 for Washington. Despite Kyshawn George's absence due to illness, Bub Carrington stepped up for DC with his playmaking abilities, contributing significantly with nine assists by game's end.

Third Quarter

The third quarter was pivotal for the Wiz as they mounted a comeback attempt led by CJ McCollum's scoring prowess. McCollum finished with an impressive tally of 28 points and shot efficiently from beyond the arc at a rate of 58 percent. This surge brought them within striking distance as they outscored Atlanta by eleven points in this period.

Fourth Quarter

However, in the final stretch of playtime, it was Justin Champagnie who shone brightly for Washington with his defensive efforts including three blocks and five rebounds but it wasn't enough to contain Atlanta's relentless attack spearheaded by their bench which contributed significantly with forty-four points overall.

Despite valiant efforts from players like Tristan Vukcevic who added eighteen points along with four assists off-the-bench performance; turnovers plagued DC throughout resulting ultimately costing them dearly against such formidable opposition like ATL whose defense forced twenty turnovers leading directly into twenty-six crucial transition baskets during key moments especially late-game scenarios where momentum shifted decisively back towards visitors favor once more sealing outcome firmly away reach home side grasping desperately onto any remaining hope left fleetingly slipping through fingers grasping air futilely instead much needed tangible results desired so fervently yet elusive still evermore frustratingly so indeed alas!
