First Quarter

The opening quarter saw the Cardinal take an early lead with a score of 10 points against the Panthers' 7. The home team capitalized on their opportunities, but Pitt's defense began to show signs of what was to come.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, Pitt turned up the heat by scoring 14 points while limiting Stanford to just a field goal. Mason Heintschel led the charge for Pitt with precise passing that resulted in two touchdowns during this period. His performance was instrumental in shifting momentum towards Pitt.

Third Quarter

The third quarter belonged entirely to Pitt as they added another 14 points without allowing any from Stanford. Key defensive plays included interceptions by Shawn Lee Jr., who returned one for a touchdown, showcasing his ability to change games single-handedly.

Fourth Quarter

Stanford attempted a comeback in the final quarter but could only muster one touchdown against Pitt's resilient defense. Despite their efforts, they couldn't bridge the gap created earlier by Pitts' dominant play on both sides of the ball.

Pitt's defense recorded five sacks and three interceptions throughout the game, stifling any significant progress from Stanford’s offense. Jimmy Scott stood out with two sacks and multiple tackles for loss that kept pressure on Stanford’s quarterback consistently.
