From tip-off at T-Mobile Arena, the Washington State team demonstrated resilience against their opponents. The first half saw them trailing slightly with 23 points to Colorado's 27. In an attempt to turn the tide, Washington State managed to add another 29 points in the second half but couldn't close the gap as Colorado put up 31 points.

The Cougars showcased a balanced offensive effort with both teams scoring 34 points in the paint. However, where they excelled was on rebounds; pulling down a total of 37 compared to Colorado's 29. This included an impressive number of offensive rebounds for Washington State at twelve which led to twelve second-chance points.

Defensively, Washington State managed three blocks and five steals during playtime but were hampered by nineteen turnovers which limited their opportunities for fast-break points, only managing two throughout the game. Their assist-to-turnover ratio stood at a concerning point fifty-six while Colorado maintained point ninety-one.

On shooting efficiency, both teams had similar field goal percentages with Washington State hitting forty-two percent of their shots and Colorado forty-three percent. From beyond the arc though, both teams struggled; however, it was particularly notable for Washington State who made just four out of nineteen attempts resulting in twenty-one percent from three-point range.

Free throws were also less than ideal for Washington State as they shot fifty-seven percent from the line making only four out of seven attempts – this contrasted starkly against eleven successful free throws made by Colorado from seventeen attempts (sixty-five percent).

As fans reflect on this hard-fought battle that saw ten lead changes and was tied three times throughout its duration until reaching its conclusion under Las Vegas lights before an audience of seventeen thousand five hundred two attendees – it is clear that every possession mattered greatly in this tightly contested matchup.

Looking ahead without speculating on outcomes or performance - fans can tune into future broadcasts featuring these university teams as they continue their journey through college basketball seasons filled with promise and competition.
