Angels' Eighth-Inning Rally Falls Short in Seattle, Mariners Hold On for a 2-1 Victory

The scoring was minimal throughout most of the innings until a pivotal eighth inning saw the Angels pushing across two runs on three hits but ultimately failing to overcome an early lead established by the Mariners.

On the pitching side for Los Angeles Angels, Hans Crouse delivered an exceptional performance from the bullpen by securing one win without allowing any runs and achieving a striking nine strikeouts per nine innings pitched ratio. Griffin Canning started for Los Angeles Angels and posted a solid outing with an earned run average (ERA) of 1.8 over five innings pitched while striking out ten batters.


The Mariners managed to secure their lone run early in the second inning thanks to strategic hitting combined with disciplined fielding that prevented further scoring from both sides until late into the game.
