On defense, Houston showcased exceptional fielding skills with no errors recorded during play. Their pitchers also stood out; particularly notable was their bullpen's performance which held opponents to just one hit over nearly five innings pitched – achieving an ERA of 0.00 during this span along with seven strikeouts.


The Chicago White Sox had moments of brilliance but ultimately could not overcome Houston's late surge despite scoring three runs in the fifth inning off three hits – their only significant offensive output for the night.
