The Astros struggled offensively throughout the game, managing only five hits and scoring their lone run in the second inning. In contrast, Tampa Bay's lineup was more effective, accumulating thirteen hits and scoring runs in multiple innings including two crucial innings where they scored two runs each. The Astros' pitching staff also had difficulties containing Tampa Bay's hitters, as evidenced by allowing six earned runs and three home runs over nine innings.

Jose Altuve showed some resilience for Houston with an on-base percentage of .500 and a slugging percentage of .333 but couldn't spark enough momentum for his team. Jonathan Singleton was another highlight for the Astros; he hit a home run contributing to his slugging percentage of 1.333 and an OPS (On-base Plus Slugging) of 1.666 which accounted for Houston's only run in this matchup.

On the mound for Houston, Ronel Blanco started but suffered from Tampa Bay's aggressive batting lineup giving up two earned runs over five innings pitched which contributed to his ERA (Earned Run Average) standing at 3.6 after this game.

As for Tampa Bay’s performance that led them to victory included consistent hitting across several innings and capitalizing on opportunities presented by Astro’s errors and pitching challenges.
