First Inning

The game began with the Athletics taking an early lead in the first inning. The A’s managed to score their first run, setting the tone for what would be a difficult evening for the home team. The ‘Stros struggled offensively, unable to capitalize on opportunities and failing to get any hits in their opening inning.

Middle Innings

As the game progressed into the middle innings, both teams displayed strong pitching performances. However, it was during these innings that Houston's bats remained largely silent. Despite having runners on base in several instances, they were unable to convert these chances into runs until Mauricio Dubón drove in one run during the sixth inning.

Final Innings

In contrast, Oakland capitalized on late-game opportunities. They added another run in the sixth and sealed their victory with three more runs scored in a decisive ninth inning rally. The Green and Gold's ability to exploit errors by Houston proved crucial as they maintained pressure throughout.

Houston's pitching staff showed moments of brilliance but ultimately could not contain Oakland’s offense when it mattered most. Hunter Brown pitched five solid innings but received little support from his teammates both offensively and defensively.
