First Inning

The game began with both teams showing defensive strength. The Orioles managed to score their first run early on, capitalizing on four hits in their opening inning. The Astros struggled to find their rhythm offensively, managing only one hit and leaving runners stranded.

Third Inning

Houston found some momentum in the third inning when Jose Altuve's presence was felt as he contributed to breaking through Baltimore's defense with a crucial hit that brought in a run. However, this effort was matched by solid pitching from Baltimore that kept further damage at bay.

Sixth and Seventh Innings

As the game progressed into its middle innings, both teams displayed strong pitching performances. Spencer Arrighetti of Houston maintained an ERA of 3.176 over his innings pitched but couldn't prevent Baltimore from adding another run in the sixth inning through strategic hitting and base running.

Eighth Inning

The eighth inning saw another surge from Houston as they attempted to close the gap. With three hits during this frame, including contributions from Mauricio Dubón who had been consistent throughout previous games, they managed to add one more run to their tally but still trailed behind.

Ninth Inning

In a tense final inning for both sides, neither team could alter the scoreboard further despite opportunities arising for each side due to errors and strategic plays left uncapitalized by both offenses.
