First Inning

The game commenced with both teams struggling to find their rhythm. The Astros managed just one hit in the first inning, while Miami's defense held firm without allowing any runs. Despite an early hit by the Fish, they too were unable to capitalize on their opportunity.

Third Inning

By the third inning, Miami took a brief lead as they scored their only run of the game. A couple of hits and errors from both sides kept fans on edge but did not alter the scoreboard significantly.

Fourth Inning

The fourth inning marked a turning point for Houston. With three hits and two runs scored, including contributions from Yordan Alvarez who showcased his batting prowess, this inning proved decisive for ‘Stros' victory. Their offensive surge was complemented by solid pitching that kept Miami at bay.

Fifth to Ninth Innings

Houston continued to build on their momentum in subsequent innings. They added another run in both the fifth and eighth innings while maintaining defensive pressure against Miami's lineup. Notably, Taylor Trammell contributed with an impressive .667 average and one RBI during this stretch.

Despite committing four errors throughout nine innings—three throwing errors and one fielding error—the Astros' pitching staff excelled overall; holding opponents to five hits across nine innings played crucial roles in securing victory over Fish Tank’s home turf.
