The Athletics showcased resilience throughout the game, managing to secure two runs, five hits, and committing three errors. Despite their efforts, it was not enough to surpass the Orioles who tallied three runs on eight hits with one error. The game unfolded with both teams scoring in the first inning but it was in the second inning that the Orioles pulled ahead by adding two more runs to their tally.

Key performances from the Athletics included Miguel Andujar who drove in a run and Shea Langeliers who scored one of Oakland's two runs. Andujar finished with an impressive batting average of .250 and an on-base plus slugging (OPS) of 1.25 for this game. Langeliers also had a notable performance with a batting average of .250 and an OPS of 1.25, contributing significantly despite Oakland's narrow loss.

On defense, several Athletics players maintained perfect fielding percentages including Jeffrey Bleday (CF), Lawrence Butler (RF), Brett Harris (3B), Tyler Soderstrom (1B), Max Schuemann (SS), and Miguel Andujar (LF). However, Zack Gelof’s fielding percentage stood out as it dropped to .800 due to defensive challenges faced during the game.

Pitching for Oakland saw Hogan Harris starting on the mound with an earned run average (ERA) of 3.6 over five innings pitched but unfortunately took home a loss for his efforts. Scott Alexander contributed from the bullpen with an ERA of 0.0 across his appearance, showcasing depth in pitching despite falling short overall.
