The bullpen also played a crucial role in preserving the lead with Austin Adams showcasing his skill by not allowing any hits or runs and striking out all batters faced during his time on mound which resulted in maintaining his ERA at 0.0.


On defense, both teams showed prowess but it was Oakland's ability to execute plays under pressure that made a difference. Despite committing one error during play compared to Boston's flawless fielding performance, Oakland displayed resilience by making critical outs when needed most.
