The Athletics demonstrated strategic hitting and strong pitching across all nine innings. They managed to accumulate ten hits leading to five runs without committing any errors. Their performance was particularly notable in the fifth inning when they scored two crucial runs off three hits. On the other hand, the Giants struggled to find their rhythm against Oakland's pitchers, managing only five hits and scoring two runs late in the game during the eighth and ninth innings.

Oakland's pitching staff played a pivotal role in this victory. The starting pitcher for the Athletics delivered an impressive performance by maintaining an ERA of 0.0 across seven innings pitched, limiting Giants' hitters to a .136 batting average. This effort was supported by Austin Adams from the bullpen who showcased an exceptional strikeout rate of 27 per nine innings despite not allowing any runs or walks.

Offensively, several players stood out for Oakland. Jeffrey "JJ" Bleday and Daz Cameron both recorded batting averages of .500 with one home run each contributing significantly to Oakland's scoreline. Zack Gelof also made his presence felt with an impressive .667 batting average while Brent Rooker drove in two RBIs on a .333 average.

Despite their efforts, not all Athletics could make an impact at bat; Brett Harris and Seth Brown were unable to contribute significantly this time around as both ended up without hits or on-base opportunities.
