First Inning

The game began with both teams showing defensive prowess. The A’s managed to keep the Giants scoreless despite allowing two hits. However, their own offense struggled to gain momentum as they went hitless in their first turn at bat.

Second Inning

The second inning proved pivotal for the Orange and Black as they unleashed an offensive onslaught, scoring six runs off four hits. The Green and Gold's starting pitcher Luis Morales had difficulty containing this surge, which set a challenging tone for the rest of the game.

Middle Innings

Innings three through six saw both teams stabilizing defensively. The A’s bullpen stepped up with Tyler Ferguson striking out eight batters over his appearance without allowing any runs during these innings. Meanwhile, Shea Langeliers contributed offensively with one of his team's eight hits but was unable to convert it into a run.

Seventh Inning

A glimmer of hope appeared for Oakland when they finally broke through on offense in the seventh inning. Brett Harris delivered a crucial hit that brought home one run for his team, narrowing down some of their deficit against San Francisco's lead.

Eighth and Ninth Innings

Despite another run scored by Oakland in the ninth inning thanks to Jacob Wilson's efforts at bat, it wasn't enough as San Francisco added two more runs during their eighth-inning rally led by powerful hitting from key players like Logan Webb who had been instrumental throughout this matchup.
