Can the Blue Jays Capitalize on Their Hitting Streak Against the Red Sox?

As the Toronto Blue Jays prepare to face off against the Boston Red Sox at TD Ballpark, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The upcoming game, scheduled for March 22, is a chance for the Blue Jays to showcase their recent offensive prowess and continue their momentum.

The Blue Jays have been swinging hot bats lately. In their last outing against the Baltimore Orioles on March 19, they put up an impressive .324 batting average with a significant slugging percentage of .559. This offensive surge was highlighted by hitting four home runs and driving in eight runs. Despite committing one error in that game, it was clear that when Toronto's hitters made contact, they did so with power and precision.

However, it wasn't just one game where TOR showed its capability at the plate. On March 20 against Atlanta Braves at CoolToday Park, they managed a .278 average while demonstrating patience at the plate with six walks contributing to an on-base percentage of .395. They also displayed versatility in scoring by stealing bases successfully half of their attempts.

Pitching has been somewhat of a mixed bag for TOR recently though. While their bullpen ERA stood at 9.0 against Atlanta Braves due to some unearned runs slipping through as well as two blown saves indicating some closing issues; starters have shown better control and efficiency with an ERA of 7.714 which suggests there's room for improvement but also potential stability starting games.

Defensively speaking, Toronto has had its ups and downs too – fielding errors have occurred but haven't been rampant enough to cause serious concern yet.

On Boston's side, they're not to be underestimated either – known for being tenacious competitors who can turn any game around if given a chance.

With all eyes on this matchup between two formidable teams in such an iconic venue like TD Ballpark in Dunedin Florida - it promises excitement not just for fans but anyone who appreciates high-level baseball competition.

The scheduled date is fast approaching; fans should mark their calendars for March 22nd when this thrilling encounter will take place at TD Ballpark starting sharp at 1:07 PM ET (Eastern Time). Those unable to attend can catch all action live via broadcast network SNET ensuring no one misses out on what could be one season’s most memorable games!
