First Inning

The game began with the Yankees taking an early lead in the first inning, scoring three runs on two hits. The Jays struggled to find their rhythm initially and were unable to put any runs on the board.

Second Inning

In the second inning, Toronto's bats came alive as they managed to score two runs from two hits. Addison Barger contributed significantly during this period with his consistent hitting performance.

Third Inning

The third inning saw both teams adding one run each to their tally. For Toronto, Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s efforts helped secure a run that kept them within striking distance of New York.

Middle Innings

As the middle innings unfolded from fourth through sixth, both teams' defenses tightened up considerably. The Blue Jays managed only one hit in these innings while keeping New York from extending their lead further.

Eighth and Ninth Innings

In a tense eighth inning, George Springer added another hit for Toronto but was left stranded as they failed to capitalize on opportunities presented by New York's defensive errors throughout these late stages of play.

During what turned out to be a decisive ninth inning for both sides; despite mounting pressure from fans filling Yankee Stadium’s stands – totaling over forty-three thousand attendees – neither team could alter scoreboard figures before time expired after nine full innings played out under bright daylight conditions across Bronx skies above them all afternoon long here today!
