First inning


The Blue Jays opened with a scoreless frame as the Tigers also put up 0 in the top of the inning.


Second inning


The Tigers collected 1 hit in the second inning without scoring, and the Blue Jays finished the inning with 0 runs while committing the game’s first error.

Fifth inning


The Blue Jays produced their only run in the fifth inning with Daulton Varsho’s home run, and Detroit answered in the same inning with 2 runs on 2 hits.


Seventh inning


The Tigers added 1 run in the seventh inning as Toronto’s offense stayed at 1 total run.


Eighth inning


Detroit created a gap in the eighth inning by scoring 2 runs on 4 hits, and the Blue Birds remained without additional runs.


Ninth inning


The Blue Jays added 1 hit in the ninth inning but did not score, and the Tigers tacked on 1 run on 2 hits to close the scoring.
