On the mound, Braves pitchers faced challenges but managed to hold off a late surge by the Marlins. A.J. Minter emerged as one of Atlanta's key contributors from the bullpen; he secured his second win of the season while keeping his ERA low at just under three runs per nine innings pitched.

The Marlins put forth a resilient effort in defeat, amassing nine hits and seven runs despite making one error that may have cost them dearly in such a close game.
