The Atlanta Braves struggled offensively, managing only one hit during the entire game. Their batting average was a mere .036 with an on-base percentage of .1 and slugging percentage also at .036. The team left eight runners on base and had just one opportunity with runners in scoring position but failed to capitalize on it.

On the pitching side, Atlanta's bullpen faced significant challenges against Boston's hitters. The bullpen ERA stood at 8.1 with a WHIP of 2.1 over 3.1 innings pitched, allowing three runs on six hits including two home runs which contributed significantly to Boston's lead.

Conversely, the Boston Red Sox showcased strong offensive performance with thirteen hits leading them to score nine runs throughout nine innings played. Key moments included scoring three runs in both second and fifth innings respectively which set an early pace that Braves pitchers struggled to contain.

Nick Pivetta of the Red Sox was credited with his third win of the season due to his effective pitching against Atlanta's lineup while Spencer Schwellenbach took his second loss for Atlanta after conceding six earned runs over less than five innings pitched.
