The game unfolded at Oriole Park at Camden Yards under clear skies with temperatures around 74 degrees Fahrenheit. The Braves struggled offensively, managing only five hits and committing one error over the course of the game. Their batting average was a mere .152, and despite having nine chances with runners in scoring position, they failed to convert any into runs. The team left eleven runners on base, highlighting their missed opportunities throughout this matchup.

On the pitching side, Max Fried took the loss for Atlanta after allowing four earned runs over five innings pitched. His performance contributed to his season record moving to six wins and three losses. In contrast, Baltimore's pitching staff held strong against Atlanta's lineup. Albert Suárez earned his third win of the season for Baltimore without conceding any runs during his time on mound.

The Orioles' offense was more effective when it mattered most; they scored three runs in the second inning and added another run in the sixth inning off two hits and an error by Atlanta. This early lead proved insurmountable for Atlanta as they were unable to generate significant offensive momentum.

Defensively, both teams committed one error each during this contest. However, it was Baltimore’s ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities that made all difference in securing their victory.
