Braves' Bats Silenced as Mets Dominate at Citi Field

First Inning

Third Inning


By the third inning, the Mets started gaining momentum. They recorded 2 hits but were unable to convert them into runs due to solid fielding by the Bravos. Meanwhile, Atlanta's offense continued its quiet night with only one hit from Ronald Acuña Jr., who was left stranded on base.


Fourth Inning


In a pivotal fourth inning for New York, they broke through with their first run of the game thanks to a timely hit and smart base running. The Braves' defense held firm otherwise but couldn't prevent this breakthrough moment for their opponents.

Fifth Inning


The fifth inning saw another run added by New York as they capitalized on three hits during this period. Despite efforts from Atlanta's pitcher Grant Holmes—who maintained an ERA of 3.6—the Mets extended their lead while keeping Atlanta scoreless.


Seventh Inning


New York further asserted control in the seventh inning by scoring two additional runs off three more hits against Atlanta's bullpen led by Michael Petersen and Pierce Johnson. This offensive burst put significant pressure on an already struggling Braves lineup that had yet to make any substantial impact offensively throughout these innings.

Ninth Inning
