Their hitters amassed a total of 13 hits throughout the game, significantly outpacing the Pirates' eight hits. A pivotal moment came in the third inning when Milwaukee's lineup erupted for five runs on four hits, setting a tone of dominance that persisted throughout the contest.

Milwaukee's batters displayed exceptional power and precision, highlighted by an impressive .361 batting average and an on-base plus slugging (OPS) of 1.286. The team capitalized on scoring opportunities, driving in ten runs and leaving six runners on base. On the pitching front, Robert Gasser earned his second win of the season thanks to a stellar performance that kept Pittsburgh's batters at bay. The Brewers' pitching staff collectively maintained a commendable earned run average (ERA) of 2.0 over nine innings while striking out seven batters and limiting walks to just one.

The Pirates managed to score only two runs against this tight defense despite having multiple opportunities across nine innings. Their efforts were hampered by an inability to capitalize fully on scoring chances and a defense that couldn't contain Milwaukee's offensive onslaught.
