From the outset, the Brewers demonstrated strategic hitting and solid pitching. They opened the scoring early in the first inning with one run off one hit, setting an assertive tone for the game. Although their batting average was .200 throughout, they managed to accumulate six hits and two runs by capitalizing on crucial moments. Notably, in the eighth inning, they added another run to secure their lead further.

The Brewers' pitchers were particularly outstanding, combining for a shutout performance that left the Angels struggling at bat. Freddy Peralta earned his fifth win of the season thanks to his six innings of work where he allowed only three hits and struck out eight batters without conceding any runs. Bryan Hudson contributed significantly from the bullpen with a hold by maintaining this momentum before Trevor Megill closed out with his fifteenth save of this campaign.

Defensively, Milwaukee was nearly flawless except for one throwing error. Their fielding percentage stood at .97 as they executed all but one play cleanly throughout nine innings.

On offense for Los Angeles Angels managed only four hits against Milwaukee's formidable pitching staff and failed to convert any opportunities into runs. Tyler Anderson took his seventh loss of this season despite giving up just two runs over six innings pitched.
