The Milwaukee Brewers faced off against the Cincinnati Reds in a night game at Great American Ball Park, resulting in a 4-2 victory for the home team. First Inning

The Brewers started strong, with an early offensive push that saw them score one run on two hits. Christian Yelich contributed significantly during this inning with his consistent batting performance, maintaining an impressive .500 average from previous games. However, despite their initial momentum, the Brew Crew couldn't capitalize further as they left two runners stranded on base.

Fourth Inning

In the fourth inning, both teams found their rhythm offensively. The Brewers managed to add another run to their tally thanks to Rhys Hoskins' solid hitting performance which included a .250 average and flawless fielding percentage of 1.0 from previous outings. Meanwhile, the Reds responded robustly by scoring two runs on three hits during this period, taking advantage of some gaps in Milwaukee's defense.

Seventh Inning

As tensions rose in the seventh inning, Cincinnati extended their lead by adding another run through strategic plays and exploiting Milwaukee's pitching vulnerabilities. Despite Freddy Peralta's efforts on the mound for Milwaukee—boasting an ERA of 4.5 and striking out batters at a rate of 13.5 per nine innings—the Redlegs managed to find success against him.

Ninth Inning

Heading into the ninth inning with hopes of mounting a comeback or forcing extra innings were dashed for Milwaukee when Cincinnati sealed their win by scoring one final insurance run off Grant Anderson’s pitching (ERA: 6.75). The Brew Crew struggled offensively throughout these closing moments; William Contreras went hitless across four at-bats despite his previous contributions earlier this season.
