Brewers' Bats Silenced as Royals Rule Surprise Stadium

First Inning


The Brewers started strong with an immediate impact in the first inning. Christian Yelich led off with a hit that set up Jeferson Quero for an RBI opportunity, which he capitalized on by driving in Yelich for their only run of the game. The Brew Crew managed three hits in this inning but couldn't extend their lead further.


Second Inning


In response, Kansas City quickly leveled the score during their second at-bat. The Boys in Blue's offense was sparked by consecutive hits that resulted in one run crossing home plate. The Brewers' pitcher Chad Patrick struggled slightly but managed to limit further damage with solid defense behind him.


Middle Innings


As both teams settled into a rhythm, pitching dominated through innings three and four with neither side able to break through offensively. However, it was during these middle innings that Trevor Megill showcased his skills on behalf of Milwaukee's bullpen by maintaining pressure on K.C.'s lineup and keeping them scoreless temporarily.
