Cardinals Narrowly Miss Victory Against Angels in a 2-7 Loss at Angel Stadium

Defensively, St. Louis committed one error throughout nine innings which slightly marred their fielding performance but still maintained a fielding percentage (.FPCT) of .969.


The Los Angeles Angels capitalized on their opportunities by securing fourteen hits leading to seven runs scored against the Cardinals' pitchers. Their aggressive play was evident from the start as they opened up with four runs in the first inning alone and continued to build on this early lead throughout the game.
