Thomas Saggese stood out with an impressive batting average of .500 and an OPS (On-base Plus Slugging) of 1.25, including slugging at .75 which showcased his offensive capabilities despite the team's overall struggle to rack up runs.


Lars Nootbaar also made significant contributions with his bat, matching Saggese's batting average (.500), driving in one run for his team, and achieving an OPS of 1.25 along with slugging at .75 which contributed to the Cardinals' scoring efforts.

On the pitching side, Steven Matz from the bullpen displayed commendable effort with an ERA (Earned Run Average) of 3.0 over three innings pitched and managed to keep his WHIP (Walks plus Hits per Inning Pitched) to a solid 1.0 while striking out opponents at a rate of approximately three per nine innings.
