Second Inning

The opening innings saw a dominant performance by the Diamondbacks, who capitalized on their opportunities right from the start. Arizona's offense exploded in the first inning, scoring 4 runs on just 2 hits. This early lead set a daunting task for St. Louis to overcome as they tried to find their rhythm against an aggressive home team.

Third Inning

In response, St. Louis managed to put up their first run in the third inning through strategic hitting and patience at bat. Jordan Walker stood out with his impressive .667 average and contributed significantly by driving in one run during this period.

Fifth Inning

Despite efforts from players like Alec Burleson, who maintained a solid .333 average, and Victor Scott's consistent performance with an OPS of 1.167, it was not enough to close down Arizona’s lead entirely by mid-game.

Seventh Inning

As both teams entered later innings without further scoring changes until then, pitching became crucial for maintaining momentum or shifting it entirely. The Cards' bullpen showed resilience; however, they couldn't completely stifle Arizona's initial advantage despite notable performances such as Ryan Helsley’s ERA of 0.0 over his stint on mound duty.

Ninth Inning

A glimmer of hope emerged during what could have been described as a potential comeback moment when St.Louis rallied late into ninth inning adding another run making things interesting towards endgame scenario but ultimately fell short leaving fans pondering what might have been if earlier opportunities were seized differently throughout match duration itself!

With this result now behind them though focus shifts forward onto next matchup scheduled against Colorado Rockies taking place July 21st starting time set around approximately evening hours (8:40 PM EDT) hosted within confines Coors Field located Denver where viewers can tune via FDSMW network coverage provided accordingly ensuring no fan misses out upcoming action-packed encounter awaiting eagerly anticipated showdown between these two formidable sides once again battling head-to-head supremacy stakes involved therein!
