Cardinals' Lone Run Falls Short as Padres Prevail at Busch Stadium

The St. Louis Cardinals faced off against the San Diego Padres in a tightly contested game at Busch Stadium, resulting in a 3-1 victory for the visitors. This outcome brought the Cardinals' season record to 54-52, while the Padres improved to 56-49.

First Inning


The game began with both teams struggling to find their rhythm offensively. The first inning saw neither team scoring any runs, setting a cautious tone for what would become a defensive battle.


Second Inning
