First Inning

The game began on a promising note for the Cardinals as they managed to score early in the first inning. Alec Burleson showcased his batting prowess by hitting a home run, giving the Redbirds an initial lead. However, this momentum was short-lived as their bats fell silent in subsequent innings.

Fourth Inning

By the fourth inning, Cincinnati's offense came alive. The Big Red Machine scored three runs during this period, capitalizing on their opportunities and taking advantage of some loose pitching from Andre Pallante. This surge shifted the game's momentum decidedly in favor of Cincinnati.

Sixth Inning

In an attempt to claw back into contention, St. Louis managed to add another run in the sixth inning thanks to some strategic base running and timely hitting by Lars Nootbaar and Nolan Gorman. Despite these efforts, errors crept into their play which allowed Cincinnati to maintain control.

Seventh Inning

The seventh inning saw further dominance from Cincinnati as they added two more runs to their tally through consistent hitting and exploiting gaps in St. Louis' defense. The Cards' bullpen struggled to contain this offensive burst from their opponents.
