Did Cubs' Ninth Inning Rally Sink Pirates at PNC Park?

The Chicago Cubs improved their record to 19-13 after a decisive 8-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates, who now stand at 12-20. Cubs' Offensive Surge


The North Side's bats were relatively quiet until the fifth inning when they scored three runs off four hits. This momentum continued into the seventh inning with another two runs added to their tally. However, it was in the ninth inning that they truly sealed their victory by scoring three more runs on four hits. Ian Happ was instrumental in this offensive display, contributing significantly with his .750 batting average and an OPS of 1.8 from his previous game stats.


Seiya Suzuki also played a pivotal role for Chicago with two home runs and three RBIs from his last outing, showcasing his power-hitting capabilities once again against Pittsburgh's pitchers.
