Second Inning

In the second inning, the Cubbies managed to get on the scoreboard first. With two hits and one run scored, they showcased their offensive potential early in the game. Dansby Swanson's performance was notable as he contributed significantly to this early lead.

Third and Fourth Innings

Continuing their momentum into the third inning, Chicago added another run thanks to consistent hitting from players like Nico Hoerner and Matt Shaw. By the fourth inning, they had extended their lead by scoring two more runs. However, despite these efforts and accumulating a total of eleven hits throughout the game, they couldn't maintain this advantage.

Fifth through Ninth Innings

As we moved into later innings, particularly from fifth onwards where no runs were scored by Chicago despite two hits in that inning alone; it became evident that maintaining pressure was becoming challenging for them against Cincinnati's defense which tightened up considerably after initial lapses allowing only one hit each during seventh & ninth innings respectively while keeping errors minimal throughout entire match duration except once when fielding mistake occurred leading directly towards unearned point being awarded subsequently thereafter too!

Meanwhile back-to-back homers propelled Redlegs forward during sixth period itself where three crucial points were secured thus turning tide decisively towards hosts' favor eventually culminating victory celebration amidst local fans' cheers echoing across stadium premises alike!
