First Inning

The game kicked off with both teams scoring early. The North Side managed to put one run on the board thanks to Seiya Suzuki's solo home run, showcasing his power early in the game. However, this was quickly matched by the South Siders who also scored one run in their opening inning.

Second Inning

The second inning proved pivotal for the White Sox as they surged ahead with three runs. Jameson Taillon struggled on the mound for Cubbies, allowing multiple hits that contributed to this deficit. The North Side's defense couldn't contain their opponents' aggressive batting lineup during this period.

Middle Innings

As we moved into innings three through six, both teams tightened up defensively. The Cubbies managed to hold off further scoring from their rivals but failed to capitalize offensively themselves despite several opportunities and leaving nine runners stranded throughout these innings.

Late Innings

Innings seven through nine saw another push from South Siders who added three more runs across these frames while maintaining solid defensive plays that kept Cubs scoreless after Suzuki’s initial homerun blast earlier in playtime; ultimately sealing victory over them by final tallying numbers of eight against one respectively!
