The game began with a bang as the Diamondbacks put up four runs in the first inning, thanks to a combination of hits and an error by the Padres. They continued their offensive onslaught with two more runs in the second inning and sealed their dominance with another four runs in the fourth inning. Overall, Arizona tallied 13 hits without committing any errors throughout the game.

Key players for Arizona included Ryne Nelson, who earned his second win of the season. The team's hitting statistics were impressive, boasting a .371 batting average and an on-base plus slugging (OPS) of 1.05 for this game.
