The team’s batting average for this game was .129, with no extra-base hits recorded. Zac Gallen took the mound for Arizona and pitched seven innings, allowing three earned runs on eight hits while striking out five batters.

In contrast, Miami capitalized on their opportunities early in the game. The second inning saw them score two runs off four hits. They added another run in the fourth inning with three more hits. Defensively, Arizona showed solid fielding with no errors committed during the match. They executed three double plays and had twelve assists overall but could not contain Miami's offense effectively enough to keep them from scoring.

Miami's offensive performance was highlighted by their ability to get runners on base and bring them home efficiently compared to Arizona’s struggles at bat. The Marlins accumulated nine hits over nine innings but left fourteen runners stranded on base due to some missed opportunities later in innings.
