The game began with both teams feeling each other out. The Diamondbacks' starter Ryne Nelson set the tone early by retiring three of four batters faced in quick succession. His command was evident as he allowed just one hit in this inning. Meanwhile, Arizona's offense started to find its rhythm against Pittsburgh's pitching but couldn't capitalize on two hits.

Second Inning

In the second inning, Arizona's bats came alive. Ketel Marte and Gabriel Moreno were instrumental in driving home two runs for the Snakes. Marte’s consistent hitting continued from his previous game performance where he had a .500 average and an on-base percentage of .6. Fourth through Sixth Innings

As we moved into these middle innings, both teams struggled offensively but it was clear that Diamondbacks’ pitchers were dominating on the mound.
