First Inning

The game began with both teams feeling each other out. The Brewers managed to score an early run thanks to a combination of hits and an error by the D-Backs. Despite this initial setback, Arizona's defense held firm for most of the inning.

Third Inning

The third inning proved pivotal as Milwaukee unleashed a five-run surge that put them firmly in control. The Brew Crew capitalized on five hits during this period, including a crucial home run that widened their lead significantly.

Fourth Inning

Arizona responded in kind during the fourth inning with three runs of their own. Ketel Marte and Gabriel Moreno were instrumental in this rally, each contributing key hits that brought runners home and narrowed Milwaukee's lead.

Seventh Inning

In another spirited attempt to close the gap, Arizona scored three more runs in the seventh inning. Pavin Smith showcased his batting prowess with two doubles that energized his teammates and kept hopes alive for a comeback.

Eighth Inning

The eighth inning saw further efforts from Arizona as they added two more runs to their tally. Corbin Carroll was particularly effective at bat during this phase, helping reduce Milwaukee's advantage even further.

Despite these valiant efforts by Arizona throughout various innings, it was not enough to overcome Milwaukee’s early dominance and consistent scoring across multiple innings. The D-Backs’ pitching staff struggled against an aggressive Brewer lineup which ultimately sealed their fate despite late-game heroics from several players on offense.
