The Dodgers showcased an impressive offensive display at Nationals Park, racking up a total of 20 hits. Their bats came alive early with two hits and one run in the first inning and continued to pound Washington's pitching across subsequent innings. The second inning saw three more hits and two additional runs, while another three hits in the third brought home one more run. Although they didn't score in the fourth inning despite one hit, they bounced back with three runs off three hits in the fifth. The scoring continued with two runs on three hits in the eighth and a final flourish of four hits producing three runs in the ninth.

Los Angeles' hitters were relentless, boasting a .435 batting average for this game along with an on-base percentage (OBP) of .469 and slugging percentage (SLG) of .674. They left little opportunity for Washington's defense to breathe as they recorded nine extra-base hits including eight doubles and one home run. Clutch hitting was also on display as seven out of fifteen at-bats with runners in scoring position resulted in base knocks.

On top of their offensive prowess, Los Angeles was equally effective from the mound. Their pitchers combined for an earned run average (ERA) of just 2.0 over nine innings pitched while striking out seven batters and maintaining a WHIP (walks plus hits per inning pitched) of only 0.6667.

Conversely, The Nationals struggled to find their rhythm against Los Angeles' pitchers throughout most parts of this contest; managing only three hits which led to their two runs during that second-inning burst but failing to capitalize further as evidenced by zero scores across all other innings.
