The game saw the Giants accumulating a total of five hits and scoring two runs without committing any errors. Their scoring was concentrated in the third and fourth innings where they managed to put one run on the board in each inning. The team's batting average stood at .161 for this game, with an on-base percentage (OBP) of .212 and slugging percentage (SLG) of .290. The Giants' hitters faced challenges throughout, managing only two extra-base hits and leaving ten runners on base (LOB). Their performance at bat was further highlighted by their struggle to capitalize with runners in scoring position (RISP), achieving just one hit from four at-bats in such situations.

On the pitching side, the bullpen took over after just one inning from starters but struggled to contain the Red Sox's hitters. They allowed six runs over seven innings pitched with an earned run average (ERA) of 7.714 for bullpen pitchers specifically. The overall pitching staff finished with an ERA of 6.75 and WHIP (Walks plus Hits per Inning Pitched) of 1.75 after facing thirty-seven batters across eight innings.

Kutter Crawford emerged victorious on the mound for Boston while Daulton Jefferies suffered his second loss for San Francisco despite both teams putting forth strong defensive performances as evidenced by no errors committed during play.
