The Giants' offense came alive in the second inning with four hits that resulted in three runs. This early lead set the tone for San Francisco's performance throughout the game. In total, they amassed 12 hits and took advantage of three errors committed by Philadelphia.

San Francisco's fifth inning was another highlight as they added two more runs to their tally, bringing their total score to eight by game's end. The seventh inning saw additional contributions with two more runs scored off two hits and capitalizing on errors made by Philadelphia.

On the pitching front, Randy Rodríguez earned his first win of the season for San Francisco. The bullpen was particularly effective, allowing only two hits and no runs over five innings pitched. They also managed one strikeout while maintaining a low WHIP of 0.6.

Philadelphia struggled offensively despite having seven hits in total. Their most productive innings were the third and fourth when they scored all four of their runs combined from four hits and one error by San Francisco’s defense.

Taijuan Walker took his first loss for Philadelphia as he allowed five hits and three earned runs over his time on the mound. Despite striking out seven batters during his start, Walker couldn't contain San Francisco's batting lineup effectively enough to keep them from scoring multiple times.

Defensively, both teams had mixed performances; however, it was Philadelphia’s three errors that proved costly against a determined Giants squad who committed just one error themselves but managed ten assists overall.

Looking ahead, fans can catch the next game between these teams scheduled for May 29th at Oracle Park in San Francisco starting at 1:45 PM local time (Pacific). The game will be broadcasted live on NBC Sports Philadelphia (NBCS-PH).
