From the outset, the Giants demonstrated their intent with a run in the first inning followed by two more in the second and three runs in both the fourth and eighth innings. Their relentless attack saw them scoring in five different innings, underlining a consistent performance throughout the game. The team's hitting statistics were particularly notable with an overall batting average of .378 and an on-base percentage (OBP) of .442 for this game.

Key players made significant contributions to this victory. Jorge Soler led with an exceptional performance, achieving a perfect batting average of 1.000 along with three runs from just three at-bats and maintaining an on-base plus slugging (OPS) rate of 3.0. Tyler Fitzgerald also stood out by hitting .600 and achieving an OPS of 2.4 across five at-bats which included impactful extra-base hits.

On the pitching side, Kyle Harrison delivered a standout performance for the Giants starting lineup by recording an earned run average (ERA) of just 1.35 over nearly seven innings pitched while striking out opponents at a rate of nearly fifteen strikeouts per nine innings pitched (K9), showcasing his dominance on the mound.

The Rockies tried to mount a comeback late in the game with two runs in the eighth inning and one more in ninth but fell short due to their limited number of hits throughout - totaling only five compared to fourteen by Giants - and committing one error that further hampered their efforts.
