The Giants showed their intentions from the get-go, putting two runs on the scoreboard in the opening inning. However, despite this promising start, they found it challenging to keep up the pace throughout the match. The team managed only five hits and scored three runs in total. Their batting average for this encounter was a mere .156, underscoring their difficulties in making significant contact with the ball. Grant McCray and Heliot Ramos stood out for San Francisco; McCray achieved an outstanding batting average of .667 and an on-base plus slugging (OPS) figure of 2.417 over three at-bats while Ramos hit .500 with an OPS of 1.75 from four at-bats.

From a pitching perspective, Robbie Ray put forth a commendable effort for three innings with an earned run average (ERA) of 3.0 and nearly twelve strikeouts per nine innings pitched (K9). Sean Hjelle faced challenges during his time on the mound, ending his appearance with an ERA soaring to 10.125.

The Mariners made good use of their chances despite making one error during play. Their batters secured seven hits which translated into four runs over nine innings - just enough to clinch victory against their rivals.

As both teams move forward from this tightly fought contest under clear skies before a crowd of 35,062 spectators; The San Francisco Giants are gearing up for their next challenge against Milwaukee Brewers at American Family Field in Milwaukee on August 27th at 8:10 PM EDT.
