The Guardians opened the game on a positive note, scoring one run off one hit and committing no errors in the first inning. However, their momentum was short-lived as they encountered defensive challenges that led to an error in the second inning. Despite this setback, they managed to prevent any runs until the fourth inning when their defense faltered and allowed three runs on two hits due to an error. The fifth and sixth innings saw additional runs scored by the Braves, bringing their total to five before adding another run in the eighth.

Offensively, Cleveland struggled throughout most of the game. They managed only five hits and two runs over nine innings while leaving twelve runners on base (LOB). Their batting average (AVG) was a mere .152 for this game with an on-base percentage (OBP) of .176 and slugging percentage (SLG) at .273. The team's performance at bat included two extra-base hits (XBH), one being a home run which contributed to their total bases count of nine.

On the pitching side for Cleveland, starters bore most of the burden as they pitched for 4.2 innings with an earned run average (ERA) standing at 7.714 while striking out five batters but also giving up four earned runs out of eight total hits by Atlanta's lineup. The bullpen took over for 3.1 innings where they maintained an ERA of 5.4 but could not prevent two more earned runs from crossing home plate.

Fielding efforts by Cleveland showed some resilience despite one costly error leading to unearned runs; they completed one double play and made nine assists throughout all positions during play time.
