The Guardians struggled offensively, managing only four hits and failing to convert any opportunities into runs. Their batting average for the game was a mere .143 with an on-base percentage (OBP) of .172 and slugging percentage (SLG) of .143. Despite these efforts, they left seven runners on base and had only two at-bats with runners in scoring position.

José Ramírez and Andrés Giménez both recorded batting averages of .333 for the game; however, their contributions were not enough to ignite the Guardians' offense. David Fry was another player who managed a hit during his three at-bats.

On the pitching side, Carlos Carrasco started for the Guardians but encountered difficulties early on. He finished with an earned run average (ERA) of 14.727 over 3.2 innings pitched while allowing six earned runs and striking out five batters. The bullpen also struggled as Nick Sandlin posted an ERA of 27.00 after giving up two earned runs without recording an out.

The Phillies capitalized on their opportunities by scoring seven runs in just one inning and adding another run later in the game to seal their victory. They demonstrated strong hitting throughout the lineup with twelve hits including four home runs that contributed significantly to their eight total runs.
