Guardians' Late Surge Falls Short Against Brewers at Progressive Field

First Inning


The opening inning saw both teams struggling to make an impact, with neither side managing to score any runs. The Guardians' starting pitcher displayed solid control, allowing only one hit and no runs through his initial pitches.


Second Inning


In the second inning, both teams found their rhythm. The Brewers managed to put up their first run on the board thanks to two hits. However, Cleveland responded quickly as José Ramírez hit a home run that brought in one run for the G-Men.

Fourth Inning


By the fourth inning, Cleveland had added another run courtesy of timely hitting from Austin Hedges who maintained his .333 average from previous games. Meanwhile, Milwaukee remained quiet until they broke through again in subsequent innings.


Sixth Inning


The sixth inning proved pivotal for Milwaukee as they scored three runs on four hits against Cleveland's bullpen which struggled throughout this period with an ERA of 15.75 and WHIP of 3.0 during this game segment alone.

Cleveland rallied back in dramatic fashion during their half of eighth when they scored three crucial runs off three hits including another homer by Kyle Manzardo who continued his impressive form with a .333 average and OPS of 1.666 from earlier performances.


Ninth Inning
