The Mariners' offense was particularly potent during the third inning when they unleashed a six-run barrage that included four hits and capitalized on an error by the White Sox. This offensive explosion was critical in establishing their dominance early in the game. The team's hitting statistics were notable with an average of .222 and an on-base percentage (OBP) of .317. They also showcased power with three extra-base hits contributing to their slugging percentage (SLG) of .361.

Seattle's pitching staff held up their end admirably, maintaining a strong presence throughout nine innings. The starters pitched for six innings with an earned run average (ERA) of just 1.5 and a strikeout-to-walk ratio (K/BB) of 7.0, showcasing control and efficiency on the mound. The bullpen took over for three innings and posted an ERA of 3.0 while striking out three batters.

Fielding was nearly impeccable for Seattle except for one throwing error that did little to dampen their overall defensive performance which boasted a fielding percentage (FPCT) of .972.

On the other side, Chicago struggled to find its rhythm offensively, managing only six hits throughout nine innings against Seattle's pitchers who combined for ten strikeouts and allowed just two runs.

As fans look ahead, they can mark their calendars for another exciting matchup as the Mariners will host the Cubs at Peoria Sports Complex in Peoria, Arizona on March 24th at 1:10 PM MST. This upcoming game will be broadcasted live on ROOT Sports NW where fans can tune in to follow all action from home or wherever they are.
