Seattle's offense came alive in the first inning, scoring all three of their runs. The Mariners managed four hits in this inning alone, setting a strong tone for the rest of the game. Their hitting statistics showed an average of .207 and an on-base percentage of .333. They also had five walks and one extra-base hit throughout the game.

Houston struggled initially but found some momentum in the fifth inning when they scored both of their runs off four hits. Despite this effort, they couldn't close the gap further as Seattle's bullpen held firm. Bryce Miller was credited with his fourth win of the season after pitching six innings and allowing two earned runs on five hits.

The Mariners' bullpen was particularly effective, facing nine batters and allowing only one hit while striking out three. Andrés Muñoz secured his eleventh save by closing out a scoreless ninth inning.

Defensively, Seattle committed one error but turned a crucial double play that helped them maintain their slim lead. Houston played error-free baseball but couldn't capitalize on several opportunities to score more runs.
