Despite a quiet fourth and sixth inning without any runs, they continued their offensive display with one run in the fifth and two additional runs in the seventh inning before capping off their scoring with one final run in the ninth. Key performances came from several Mariners players. Caleb Raleigh stood out by hitting .600 including three runs scored from five at-bats and managing to get on base at a rate of .600. Julio Rodríguez also made significant contributions by achieving a perfect batting average of 1.000 from four at-bats, showcasing his exceptional skill set.

On the pitching side for Seattle, Logan Gilbert delivered an impressive start with an earned run average (ERA) of 3.522 across more than seven innings pitched while striking out opponents at a rate of over eight per nine innings (K9), contributing significantly to his team's victory.


The Padres managed to score only three runs off four hits throughout all nine innings against Seattle's pitchers who maintained control over San Diego's lineup for most of this matchup.
