The Mariners set the tone early, opening with a four-run first inning highlighted by five hits and taking advantage of an error. Despite a quiet second inning, they continued to apply pressure in the third with another run added to their tally. The fourth inning saw two more runs cross the plate on just one hit, demonstrating efficient scoring. A significant surge occurred in the sixth inning when the Mariners exploded for four runs off five hits, effectively putting the game out of reach for the Angels.

Key performances came from several Mariners players who stood out both at bat and on the field. J.P. Crawford had an exceptional game, boasting a .750 batting average with his impressive slugging leading to an OPS of 2.5 and hitting a home run every four at-bats. Caleb Raleigh also shined brightly, hitting .600 and scoring three runs himself which contributed significantly to his team's success.

On the mound, Luis Castillo delivered a stellar performance for Seattle, maintaining a perfect ERA of 0.0 across six innings pitched while striking out opponents at a rate of approximately seven per nine innings pitched and keeping his WHIP at 1.0.

The Los Angeles Angels struggled throughout as they were unable to score against Seattle's pitchers despite managing five hits over nine innings. Their efforts were hampered further by committing one error that contributed directly to their deficit.
