Despite these individual successes, it wasn't enough to overcome The Angels' strategic plays late in the game which led them to score two runs in the eighth inning after being held scoreless by The Mariners' pitchers through seven innings. Luis Castillo’s pitching performance for The Mariners was noteworthy as well; he finished with an earned run average (ERA) of 0.00 over six innings pitched while striking out batters at an impressive rate (K9) of 10.503.

The bullpen saw varied performances where Collin Snider excelled with an ERA of 0.00 and striking out batters at an eighteen strikeouts per nine innings rate (K9), showcasing his potential as a reliable reliever despite The Mariners ultimately conceding two runs late into the game.
