Mariners' Efforts Not Enough in 3-2 Loss to Tigers at Comerica Park

Jorge Polanco stood resilient for the Mariners, hitting at an average of .250 and contributing one run batted in (RBI), alongside an impressive on-base percentage of .400. Julio Rodríguez shone brightly in this matchup by batting .500 with an equal on-base percentage and slugging percentage leading to an overall on-base plus slugging (OPS) score of 1.0 from his four appearances at bat. Dylan Moore also made notable contributions with his batting average of .250 and an OPS of .750.


From the mound for Seattle, Bryan Woo turned in a commendable outing by pitching seven innings without allowing any earned runs which reflected in his earned run average (ERA) standing at 0.0 for this game. He managed to keep his opponents' on-base percentage to just .160 while striking out batters at an impressive rate of over seven per nine innings pitched.

The turning point for Detroit came late in the game during the eighth inning when they rallied to score two critical runs followed by another decisive run in the tenth inning that clinched their victory over Seattle.
